High School Prep
High School Prep
High School Prep is for U15-U19 players that want a competitive Division B environment that prepares them technically, tactically, physically, and mentally for High School soccer.
The High School Prep program provides an environment with reduced commitments in time, travel, and expense that still allows players to develop in NASC's professional curriculum and with our licensed coaches. The program structure maintains a focus on the foundations necessary to play and succeed at the High School level. While there are fewer games and training sessions than the Division A teams, the intensity level and quality of game play remains at the highest level.
Teams practice 2 times per week with licensed coaches that are overseen by the full-time Directors of Coaching. Teams will play 6-8 regular season games and have the opportunity to attend 1-3 tournaments per season.

NATIONAL PREMIER LEAGUES (NPL) + NATIONAL LEAGUE (NL) = NEWCOMP
NASC Competitive Pathway
North Alabama Soccer Coalition (NASC) is committed to providing a complete player development pathway for all players in North Alabama - ensuring every player is placed in the right environment to grow and succeed.
Through a combination of local programming and elite-level opportunities, NASC allows players to develop, compete, and advance - without needing to leave the area.
Boys Pathway
On the boys side, NASC provides multiple competitive environments to support player development at all levels.
NASC teams will compete in leagues such as ASL, while also pursuing placement for select top teams within NewComp, offering access to higher-level regional and national competition.
In addition, top-performing players may have opportunities to compete at the highest levels through Vero FC within the MLS NEXT platform, along with other elite opportunities within the local MLS NEXT ecosystem.
This structure allows players to:
-
Develop within NASC
-
Compete at the appropriate level
-
Progress into higher levels of play when ready
Girls Pathway
On the girls side, NASC continues to provide strong competitive environments, while also connecting players to high-level opportunities through Vero FC.
Vero FC is currently pursuing placement within the highest available national platform, and final league placement will be communicated as decisions are confirmed.
As part of the evolving national landscape, NewComp will serve as a unified competition platform, replacing previous structures such as NPL and SAPL and creating a more connected national pathway.
If Vero FC teams compete within NewComp, NASC teams will be placed within complementary leagues such as ASL, ensuring all players are placed in environments that best support their development.
A Unified Pathway
This model allows NASC to:
- Provide clear pathways for advancement
- Maintain strong teams at every level
- Align with the evolving national competition structure
- Keep players developing within North Alabama
Top-performing players may have opportunities to compete at the highest levels through Vero FC, while NASC remains the foundation of player development across all age groups.
Our Commitment
Our focus remains simple:
To place every player in the right environment for their development, while continuing to build a strong, unified soccer community across North Alabama.
