NASC fields a pre-professional women's team that competes in the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) - the largest women's soccer league in the world.

The WPSL team is the senior women's team for our Player Development Pathway. The WPSL provides players with a pathway to the highest level of soccer available in North Alabama allowing them to train and compete against former and current college players, former professionals, and rising elite youth players.
We are holding our Spring OPEN tryouts and player combine on April 30th. Below are the details for the OPEN tryout and player combine.
Any additional information (i.e tryout attire, etc.) will be posted on this page and emailed to registrants as it is finalized.

Players that register by April 15th are guaranteed a dri-fit style NASC t-shirt.
Ages
Tryouts are OPEN to ALL female amateur players 16 and older.
Player must turn 16 on or before April 30, 2022 to be eligible to play in 2022.
Player Eligibility
Current/active high school and college players are eligible for the WPSL. High school and NCAA eligibility is not affected by playing in the WPSL. However, collegiate players must complete their fall season before being eligible to tryout for the WPSL team during your winter break. Note - If you are currently playing collegiate soccer, please be sure to inform your coach that you are trying out and consult your school's compliance office with any eligibility questions. The rules may vary between divisions.

Check-in
Please arrive at your first tryout session at least 30-45 minutes early to complete player check-in and receive your tryout number.
Tryout Attire
Players should wear a gray or white shirt and other appropriate soccer attire (cleats, shorts, soccer socks, shinguards). Dress appropriately for the weather.
Hydration
Due to COVID-19, no water coolers will be provided at tryouts. Players will be given two (2) complimentary bottles of water at check-in. Players should bring any additional water or sports drinks they may need.
USASA Tryout Waiver
All players will need to submit a signed copy of the USASA waiver at tryout check-in. If you are under 18, a parent/guardian will also need to sign the waiver.

The WPSL is in its 23rd season and is the largest women’s soccer league in the world with 131 clubs from coast-to-coast. WPSL rosters feature elite collegiate, post-collegiate, international and standout prep student-athletes. Many of the United States’ most accomplished women players have played in the WPSL, including household names such as Alex Morgan, Abby Wambach, Megan Rapinoe, Julie Foudy and Brandi Chastain.
