The NPSL is a qualifying league for the U.S. Open Cup. The U.S. Open Cup is an annual national single elimination soccer tournament that allows pro to amateur clubs across the U.S. Soccer pyramid to play one another. The tournament includes the MLS, USL Championship, USL League One, NISA  and other pro clubs and pre-pro/amateur teams in USL League Two, NPSL, and other pre-pro clubs.
