The goal of the Academy program is to foster players with a LOVE for the game in a fun and competitive learning environment. 9U-10U play a 7v7 format while 11U plays a 9v9 format. This small-sided environment fosters individual player development within the competitive environment.
At these developmental age groups, the focus is to establish a strong technical base, develop athleticism and coordination, proper skill acquisition, learn proper training techniques, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Training will be structured in a way that maximizes each player’s development, through individual instruction and multiple small-sided game situations. Players will compete in appropriate game scenarios and skill and age appropriate activities.
The age-appropriate curriculum follows the US Soccer Best Practices and is designed to develop technical skills that can be used in tactical situations. Players are trained in pools and as teams to allow maximum exposure to all the coaches and age group players within the system.
Players per Team
Players are trained as a pool. Players will be divided into appropriate team sizes for gamedays.
The Academy program is subsidized through our fundraising efforts to ensure fees are competitive. Fees include club fees and team fees. Full description of fees is available in the Tryout and Evaluation Packet located at JoinNASC.com.
Uniforms will be ordered directly from our uniform partner site CapelliSport.com. Uniform ordering information will be provided by the Club's Uniform Coordinator after a player completes registration. Click HERE to learn more about the uniform kit and cost.
Players play/practice 2 times per week. Games are intra-league and can include friendlies with outside clubs. Attend 2-3 tournaments per season with at least 1 tournament being local; requiring no travel or lodging.
