North Alabama Soccer Coalition

August 5, 2020

With preseason team camps concluding and fall practice in full swing, we have now entered Return-to-Play (RTP) Phase 3 - our Return-to-Competition (RTC) Phase. We have developed RTC guidelines that govern how North Alabama SC will operate on game-days.

These RTC guidelines are an extension of our previously developed and communicated RTP guidelines. The RTC guidelines provide information on how we are creating a safe competition and game-day environment focused on ensuring the health and well-being of everyone involved with North Alabama SC soccer. The RTC guidelines include details for the following:

  • Self-Screening
  • Pre-Competition
  • During Competition
  • Protocols for Game Related Activities
  • Roles for Players, Coaches/Staff, Parents, Spectators, and Referees
  • Post-Competition
  • Enhanced Field Layout
  • Returning to Competition
  • Resources

Our RTP and RTC guidelines will be adjusted, modified based on updates from the State of Alabama, CDC, ADPH, USYS, ASA, and local agencies and as needed to ensure the health and safety of our North Alabama SC soccer community.

Parents – We understand everyone’s situation is different and unique regarding when they may be comfortable or able to return-to-play or return-to-competition. If you are not comfortable with your child returning to play or competition now, DON’T. Return when you and your child are ready. You decide when to return to play and competition. Please be assured that we are here to make sure your child can return to soccer on their own timeline and that they will have a place to play when they do.

We must continue to work together and follow all the rules to ensure we can provide a safe and healthy playing environment for everyone involved with North Alabama SC soccer. The RTC guidelines do not replace the existing RTP guidelines. Please continue to follow the RTP guidelines for self-screening, pre-session, session, and post-session activities including coach, parent, and player responsibilities.

Note – On July 29, 2020, Governor Ivey issued an amended Safer-at-Home Order that extended the statewide face cover requirement through August 31, 2020 at 5:00 p.m.
