NASC conducts a Preseason Training program during the summer to prepare all of our players for the Fall season. View the details and team schedules for the 2021 training program below.

Note - Preseason Team Camps are part of the Fall season programming. Registration is NOT required.

Division I/National League

The team preseason camp sessions are mandatory for all players. The emphasis will be on getting the teams technically, tactically, physically, and psychosocially ready for the 2021 Fall season. In an effort to have our NASC staff coaches be part of their team camps, the Camp Directors for the preseason team camp sessions will be NASC Directors. The NASC team staff/coaches will lead all the sessions.

DIVISION II & DIVISION III

The team preseason camp sessions are mandatory for all players. Session duration varies by age group. 9U and 10U groups practice for 1.5-2 hours depending on the session day. 11U-19U groups practice for 2-3 hours depending on the session day. The emphasis will be on the techniques necessary to develop proficient and skillful players coupled with tactical training to balance the preseason approach and prepare players for competition. All practices are led by the age group Lead/Head coaches and supported by the NASC directors.

Preparation and Required Equipment

Preseason camps and practices are physically demanding. All players are encouraged to prepare by executing the Preseason Fitness Plan. Note - The fitness plan is required for all D1 and National League players.

Players are requied to wear shin guards, cleats, and their NASC training shirt for all preseason camp sessions, and bring their own soccer ball, water, and sunscreen.

If possible, players will be offered a first-come, first-served opportunity to attend a suitable team camp if one is available. Note - There will be a limit to the number of changes due to the structure of practice.
